5.19.14 - 5.25.14
Hiya ! I was a little out of it this week, so this post won't be very long. After hitting the ground running when summer began, I guess momentum was lost and a sort of unplanned break was in order. Hopefully the upcoming week will be way more productive, though, as we have lots planned. :D There's nothing wrong with taking breaks every once in a while -- you don't want to end up burning yourself out ! Anyway, let's begin !

Ben Ellinger met with part of the team to give feedback on design and art this past Thursday, the following are some of the notes taken from the discussion.
I had a Skype call with Griffin Dean in order to plan a little more the design of Twoneironauts. He was very responsive to not wanting to change the original beat-em-up structure of Oneironauts, and was able to give pretty good design instruction.

Hey there, Liz again ! This post is a bit late, so I apologize. Anyway, this week was focused primarily on nailing down the player's designs -- introducing color, at least -- along with beginning to concept a new character ! :D Since a lot of it was iteration, it'll be a bunch of variations of the same images. Just a heads up before we start ! Hello again!
This past week has been crazy - I've been trying to feel more comfortable with my internship at Microsoft, and continue work on design for Twoneironauts. I think the scariest thing is knowing that there is still preproduction stuff that just isn't decided yet. Most of this stuff relies on the designer, and as such I've been feeling pretty stressed out the past week to stay on-top of things. However, There are a few important notes I need to discuss this update. An email chain I had between myself, Professor Schneuwly, and Professor Mathues. I found the information interesting while trying to help form direction for the color palette.
Liz here again ! Here to talk about what I've done this week, which is like the title says, thumbnails and beat boards ! ART399 has started, so now instead of just having tasks from the team to do for Twoneironauts, I have homework to do for the game as well ! They've been pretty similar to what we were planning on doing anyway, so it'll be really helpful. There's some WIPs in here, so I'll have some more explaining to do in terms of my process. Let's go !

This post will be feedback and notes from my ART 399 professors, Alain Schneuwly and Pamela Mathues, along with Peter Moehrle, for the art in this post. 4/28/14 - 5/4/14
Hi there ! I'm Liz Pulanco, the Character Artist and Animator on Twoneironauts. In this post I'll be talking about my first pass at the characters in our game, specifically the ones you can play as, along with some of my thought process while going through it. Let's get started ! Hello Again!~
It feels like it hasn't been that long since I last posted on here! Well the reason my Week 00 and Week 01 posts are back-to-back is kind of because some of the stuff I put together this week. I also didn't really talk about all of the stuff I did first week. Most of the last post was just my thoughts moving forward with the direction of Twoneironauts. Let's talk a bit about what I'm doing to facilitate the massive scope that we know we have. (Next week I'll discuss more what I've done for the design of the game.) |
